5 Crafting Essentials

Hello, today im sharing with you 5 crafty essential tools i use when making a card.

1.) STAMPING TOOL

I could not be without my mini misti, it gives such precise stamping. The best tool for card making. Fits perfectly on my desk without taking up lots of room.

2.) INKThis is the ink i use to stamp out all my images and it is copic friendly.

3.) PAPER.
For me personally this is the best paper for copic colouring. I have tried neenah solar white 80lb and Xpress it copic paper and they just weren't for me. I got the best blends personally using this paper.

4.) Die cutting Machine. This was the first die cutting machine i purchased 4 years ago,and I've never had any trouble. There is more designs on the market now from big shot plus to big shot foldaway.

5.) STAMP SHAMMY.
I feel a stamp shammy is definitely essential, stamps are expensive so you have to look after them. You just have to wet the shammy with water and after inking your stamps you wipe them clean and store them away again.

5.)PAPER TRIMMER.
This is the paper trimmer i use.
Before this trimmer i used the tonic studios super trimmer. It was great at the start but i felt the blades didnt stay sharp long enough and it was not cutting straight anymore. I still keep it in my stash for larger pieces of paper, but i dont use it often because of the blade situation.

These are my 5 essential tools i use everytime i go to make a card. They personally work the best for me. I always read reviews and watch youtube reviews before i make most purchases, and these 5 do not disappoint.

Get Cracking On Christmas

Hi Everyone! Today im showing you how i created this cute window shop scene using Lawn Fawn products. Have you started on your Christmas cards yet?

On sale we have trees, the little girl is stacking the shelf with toys and the little mice are putting their cakes on display. Whilst the penguins are caroling and the yeti has purchased his Christmas tree. Thats the joys of card making and lawn fawn stamps. You can create any scene that your imagination allows you to.

To make the shop windows i used the die from selfie frames and cut three of them out using the new let it shine paper pad.
I coloured on some copic friendly cardstock and used the frame to stencil out the window and that allowed me to mask my scene within the window.
For the roof i used the die from build a house. I embossed some lawn fawn textured white embossing powder on the top of the roof to look like snow.

I had to trim both sides on the selfie frame for the roof to fit on.

For the shop names i used violet's ABC's.

I ink blended my background in distress oxide colours.
Blueprint sketch.
Salty ocean.
Tumbled glass.
And cut the background with lawn fawns snowy backdrop die

Thank you for visiting my blog, i hope i inspired you to create something today.

Fall Is Here!

Hey! Welcome back don't you just love Fall/Autumn the leaves change colour and they crunch beneath your feet. The temperature starts to drop and you can wear all your fluffy jumpers again!
Today im showing you my first fall card.

For my card i used a Stamptember Exclusive set called hello pumpkin the collaboration was between SSS (simonsaysstamps) and Neat & Tangled. I used my  Spectrum Noir markers to colour my images and used a signo uni-ball white gel pen for the highlights.

The Background was made using Lawn Fawns stitched windy backdrop die
Coloured with Distress ink/oxide in colours mustard seed & spiced marmalade.

I used lawn fawns stitched hillside backdrop and cut it out using lawn fawns new knit picky fall paper.

I heat embossed the sentiment on some black card stock which i prepped first using my
EK success tool and stamped the sentiment using versamark. I used WOW! opaque bright white superfine embossing powder and set with my heat tool.

I Then stuck down my images using some 3D foam dots to add some dimension and et voila.

Lawn Fawnatics Entry

Hello! Today im sharing with you my entry into the new challenge up on the Lawn Fawnatics blog. There is still time to enter so why not participate, i think its a great way to help get ideas flowing.

For my card i used the new Fall/Winter 2018 release square reveal wheel. Today was my first time using it,i cant believe i had convinced myself i didn't need this die of course i needed it. The reveal wheel is so easy to assemble and is just perfect for adding that special touch its just so FUN!

For the Background of the square revel wheel card i used lawn fawns watercolour wishes paper pack. I used the insert that comes with the large rectangle reveal wheel to cut the window.
I cut out the spooky fence border die with some black card stock and adhered it to the reveal wheel with my tape runner. I added a cobweb for a little extra something.

I used the lawn fawn holiday sentiments  for my card and stamped them using my mini misti and memento tuxedo black ink.

I marked out the four windows with a pencil which i erased before assembling my card that way i can stamp all four sentiments at one time and get a perfect stamp.

I used a C6 card base and adhered down some candy corn paper im really not sure what brand this is ive had it for over a year now it could be doodlebug.

I then assembled all the pieces together, i played around with the images for a while until i was happy with the scene. I used Lawn Fawn Costume Party for the cute images. I also used my Spectrum Noir makers to colour my images.

Thank you for checking out my blog post today ! This card was super fun to make i kinda just went along with it and this was the out come. Off it will go in the mail tomorrow to a crafty recipient i really hope they will love it. I find it hard to part with cards sometimes i just want to hoard them all to myself haha!

Spectrum Noirs

Hi everyone this is my first blog entry and i am so excited to present it to you. The card community is wonderful and far larger than i ever imagined. Im not entirely sure how to work everything on this yet, but i guess we all have to start somewhere. Thanks for checking it out.

Before i found out about the whole other world of crafting on Instagram and all the amazing companies in America i had purchased some alcohol markers from my local craft store. The markers i purchased were Spectrum Noirs, i now have a full set of 216 markers. I only really started knowing abut copics within the last 6 months. I have debated buying copics but i think its something i will do in the near future as i dont think it would be fair to neglects my SN considering i have a full set. I found that there wasnt many videos out there to really explain about getting the best results and colouring tutorials with SN as much as there is with copic markers. So my first blog entry is about colour combinations i have found that work for me using my SN markers. I am not an expert in SN markers but ive had alot of time to practice with them and i get some great results and found mostly 2 colour combos that work for me. I use a colour chart to help me decide what colours are most alike and that helps me get the best blending results.

Below i have coloured images from Lawn Fawns Critters ever after and i will begin to  share the colour combos on the dragons that i have coloured.
